Based in Victoria, BC, Terrain Scan is an emergent enterprise dedicated to providing advanced aerial data acquisition and the development of geospatial products for both Government and Private sectors. Our core mission is to generate precise models of terrain and infrastructure. Moreover, we extend a suite of services that includes aerial photography and videography, meticulous camera calibration, volumetric analysis, thorough inspections of infrastructure, comprehensive project management, and round-the-clock emergency support. These offerings are designed to deliver value across various industries, enhancing efficiency and decision-making.

Drones have always been a fascination of mine. For many years, I spent my time traveling extensively around the world. Originally from Ontario, I found myself settling down in Victoria, BC almost 10 years later. I fell in love with the island mainly due to my love for the ocean. I have also always been fascinated by advances in technology. This fascination has led my down the path of starting my own drone-based company and made me focus on delivering the highest accuracy possible. I aim to offer precision data at a fraction of the cost. My military experience, however brief, ultimately shines through in everything that I do. As a client you can expect prompt results that are both as accurate as possible and within the expected timeline. Drone technology will revolutionize the way in which we interact with the world and how data is collected in many different industries.
Equipment:
Drone - Mavic 3 Enterprise - redefines industry standards for small commercial drones. With a mechanical shutter, a 56× zoom camera, and an RTK module for centimeter-level precision, the Mavic 3E brings mapping and mission efficiency to new heights.
RTK Base - Emlid Reach 2 - This is a GNSS receiver that allows for precise positioning. This device sends corrections to the drone in order for the drone to determine its exact coordinate position.
